All-on-4 Dental
Implants

At your initial appointment:

• Impressions and/or intraoral scans are taken to map the 3D anatomy of your mouth
• The shade/colour of your current and proposed teeth is recorded

On the day of the placement of your “All-on-4” dental implants, you can eat up to 4 hours before the procedure.

Before commencing, the relevant areas will be completely numbed with a local anaesthetic, so that you will not feel any pain at all during the whole procedure. You can expect to feel some pressure or vibrations.

You may additionally be given IV sedation or General Anaesthesia depending on your concerns and agreed on personalised treatment plan.

Your dentist will first carry out any necessary extraction(s) of the relevant teeth. Thereafter, he or she will precisely place suitably-sized “All-on-4” implant fixtures into your jaw bone immediately.

Our in-house laboratory will then instantly proceed to custom make your interim “All-on-4” bridge prostheses. These will be fitted to your implant fixtures the same afternoon, successfully restoring your smile, form, and function on the same day.

• You will be able to resume regular dietary habits after 8 weeks
• We additionally advise all patients to have 3 regular monthly visits to the hygienist and 6 monthly check-ups with your dentist.

You will be kept under close review following your surgery, with review appointments at your:

• 1st week
• 2nd week, and then
• Monthly, until 8 weeks have elapsed

We will mainly be analysing:

• How well you have been getting along with your “All-on-4” dental implants
• How well you have been able to keep your “All-on-4” dental implants consistently clean
• Progress of your healing and integration of your “All-on-4” dental implant fixtures (assessed with help from an X-ray or CBCT scan at Week 8)

If healing has been consistent and your mouth has stabilized, your final bridge prostheses will then be constructed via CAD-CAM 4-6 months after your initial implant placement.

You can choose whether you would prefer having a Standard-type Acrylic Bridge material or a Premium-type Ceramic Bridge material. These final bridge prostheses will be more fine-tuned, accurate, durable, aesthetic, and customisable than your interim ones.

It is important for you to participate in personalising your final bridge design according to your preferences, in partnership with your specialist, to ensure a more pleasing and successful final result.
